Obama's i-Vacation

Apparently President-Elect Obama, who has been so tech-forward throughout his campaign, will be giving up his famous Blackberry when he takes office in January. Why? I'm relatively new to this world of instant communication - but I can surely say that it is quite addictive. I agree with your point that removing him from these outlets may essentailly remove him from his constituents. However, I have every confidence that he will task a 'special assistant' with the job of carrying a blackberry, and blogging etc. - it just won't be in his name.
