Fat

This weekend I came to the realization that I am fat. Yes, it's due to having three babies, but no, it still is not cute. None of my pre-pregnancy #3 clothes fit and that is just completely unacceptable. So back on the weight loss horse I go! I started this morning by waking up (actually being woken up by the baby) around 5:30am and so I figured why not jump up and try to squeeze in a mini-workout. I tiptoed to the basement, (literally) dusted off my elliptical trainer, and got on for about 20 minutes. I was actually surprised that I even lasted that long without taking a break. Then I did abs using our oldie but goodie ab roller. I was proud of myself after my little 30 minute-workout (just in time to tend to the baby as he woke up) and get my day started. Hubby nearly fainted at the sight of me exercising. I've decided to start small and work my way to a more intense program. Remember MamaLaw #5?

Wish me luck.

I could say "Oh you're not fat," but I know how it feels to not like the body you're in and nothing anyone says will convince you otherwise. So, instead I will say good luck with the exercise program!

Good luck! I have to get on that exercise bandwagon. It is on my list of things to do.

I hear you. I'm adjusting my eating and workout sessions too - I tend to gain weight during the fall/winter months!

I'm gonna have to ask for an extension on the post partum weight grace period. I need it to be about 5 years. Good for you exercising. I was gun-ho a couple months ago, working out almost daily. It's dwindled down to walking up and down the stairs at home, lol.

The hardest part is getting started, so kudos for making taking that first leap! Did you happen to see my recent interview that talked about what truly motivates women to stick to an exercise plan? Interestingly enough, the researcher I interviewed found that "losing weight" is the surest way to fall off the exercise plan! http://tinyurl.com/5sz4rh

Congratulations! I feel you and I'm trying to get on the treadmill - it's hard, but I'm trying. I've also started a belly-dancing class because I HATE to exercise and this way I don't feel like I'm exercising. If you want to try the class, let me know.

I am so incredibly impressed!

I don't think I would ever start working out after being woken up by my son at 5:30-

You are superwoman :)

good for you. But since I saw you like 2 weeks ago, I need to tell you, you didn't look fat. You looked great! We're highlighting you this week at baby bunching....on sunday. :-)

That's very smart to use the early wake time to start exercising. I just can't do it when my kids get me up early. I sit and stare blankly at them while we get the day started since my brain is still asleep. Good luck with the exercise, if you discover any magical exercise tricks, send them my way.
