"Look at me!" Is what she said.

Just when you thought the day was going to go smoothly because you were all dressed, the kids were dressed, and everything was right on schedule, your two year old found the hair conditioner and put the entire tub in her hair. This, about 20 minutes after you finished making it all pretty. And you were wearing your nicest suit because there was a big ceremony at your job. And it was really important that you were there on time. And you not only had planned on being on time, but was going to get there 15-20 minutes early to mix and mingle with your colleagues because usually you never do because when you are at work, you work, don't mingle, but rush off as soon as you are done doing what needs to be done since you have to pick up a child or children from school or daycare, or to take them to gymnastics, or to cook dinner, or whatever.

And when I found her this way, I had the baby on my hip, my purse on my shoulder and my keys and cell phone in my hands because we were all set to go.

So much for trying.

Sorry, I meant: Did you make it on time anyway?

I think I was going to put something else and changed my mind in mid-sentence. LOL Ever do that?

Oh no! Like they say, "Life is what happens when you're making other plans", right? Yikes. :( And I thought toddler boys were the ones that got into everything. LOL!

HA! Poor you :-)

Don't you ever wonder why they don't do these things when daddy is home with them??

It's a shame how kids can ruin a perfect morning.

Well, luckily, since I tried to get there early, I got there about 3 minutes late. But wouldn't you know, the ceremony did not start until 35 minutes after the scheled time?? So I got plenty of mingling in.

And my quick fix solution was to wrap her body in a towel, stick her head in the sink, and rubbed warm water in it until it looked good enough to go to day care. Her hair was "super shiny" all day. No one noticed but me. :)

Blog world...let me tell you that J. Jones always has the most "hilarious" stories. I'm pretty sure that they're not funny as they are happening; but after the fact, they are the funniest. I guess there is always humor with three bambinos.

I looked at the blog yesterday and didn't have a chance to comment, so as soon as I got to work this morning I logged on to read the story.

I can always count on the Jones-3 to put a smile on my face.

I'm glad it all worked out Jonesie. I'm pretty sure you had it all under control however - and looked great doing it:)
