Ugh! It Pains Me to Say This...
But it's time I put my New Year's weight loss commitment out there in order to make it real! As part of my "Bringing Sexy Back Initiative," my weight loss goal is to lose [almost] 30 pounds by the time I turn 30 years old in July. There! I said it. Now you have to hold me to it.
Those who love me [except for hubby - heh heh] say "There's no way you need to lose 30lbs!" or "You'll be too skinny!" But if they knew how much I actually weighed, they'd change their tune. Lucky for me, the weight distributes so that I look [somewhat] proportionate, but enough is enough...And wearing maternity clothes for the majority of the past 2 years hasn't really helped motivate me to wear clothing that requires a belt :)
So, my Step 1 is to sign up with Weight Watchers [done]. I went on the program about 3 years ago and lost 17lbs in time for my wedding. My mom did it too and lost a jillion pounds for my wedding -- she looked fab. Sis was already fab as you can see...
Anyhoo, I really like WW because, at the risk of sounding like a cliche, you really can eat any food that you want.
Step 2 is to continue to do my bi-weekly workouts during my lunch break and to add [at least] one more on my off day or the weekend. Hubby is growing weary of watching my elliptical trainer collect dust in the basement and I have run out of excuses as to why I can't use it...lol. Ideally, I would throw in yoga or pilates in here somewhere but there's time for that. Baby steps!!
Here's to 30 by 30!
