Valentine's Day plans
As if you needed another reason to stress this week, Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and you have no idea what you're getting your loved ones. Here are a couple tips based on my extensive research (read...four days in front of the tv). Check out The Today Show for a few good tips.
If you're anything like me - you'll not be stressing at all because you don't plan on doing anything. Hubby and I don't ever do anything for Valentine's Day and we don't exchange gifts either (well, unless you count the "gifts" purchased on Valentine's Day on his way home in the evening from either the back of a truck parked along a busy intersection or the exhibitor booth in the municipal building; AND, they're surprisingly always wrapped in cellophane). I don't really care too much about the gift-giving aspect, but I think I want to make something - well really it's for me!
I'm taking a huge leap and venturing into the kitchen to bake. I'm a little intimidated. not only because I don't bake (I barely cook) but because I want to try a Paul Deen recipe. Imagine - red velvet bread pudding. Ooooooh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
And...I plan on making a couple floral arrangements. I like working with flowers so I hope I can get it together to get fresh flowers on Saturday or Sunday morning.
What are your plans for the big V-Day?

This sounds so yummy! I'm not a red velvet fan but I do love bread pudding so let us know how it works out and take some pictures of you in action!
I am a Valentine's Day scrooge. I plan to do nothing on V-Day. I can't stand this day. I think it's such a waste of money. Before I got married, I would stress over it and give my hubby not so subtle hints about my gift. If he didn't do something major on V Day, I would raise holy hell. But after being married for 10 years, I care nothing about Valentines Day. I'd much rather sit in front of the TV of a silent house eating ice cream and watching What Not To Wear!
I will be doing my usual...every Sunday I cook a big dinner and this Sunday I plan on making a pork loin. My best friend (the stove) and I will be enjoying our day. The hubs will be in front of the TV with his best friend (the couch) pretending to to watch what's on...hahaha
Valentine's Day is no big deal (it's overrated...http://www.parlinmom.com/2010/02/its-overrated.html) but my mom will be at the house so maybe we can have some alone time that night and get a nice hot bubble bath.
This will look so lame when it's written down, but we have a gift card from Christmas for a local butcher/specialty meat place -- we're going to get something yummy for us (and maybe the kids), eat after the kids are fed, and have a bottle of wine (not for the kids!). We don't really do gifts, though.
