School Daze

Um, how come no one warned me what sending Chatterbox to Kindergarten actually meant for me? It's been almost 3 weeks and I honestly feel like one could do nothing else but manage their kids' school "careers." Between Orientation, Back to School Night, the Book Fair, keeping up with school forms, homework, making lunches, not to mention optional (but encouraged) activities like the Parent Involvement Committee, the School Improvement Committee, Girl Scouts and the PTA, my head is spinning! And she's only 5?

Can I ask my boss for a leave of absence for the next 13 years?

I think that's such a great idea! With Captain Computer in preschool, Little Miss Techie starting kindergarten, plus back to school stuff for the school where I teach, this month has been crazy! I look forward to October for so many reasons, one being settling into a routine but the other being well deserved me time at Blogalicious!

Wait until you have more than one kid in elementary school and literally have to be in two places in the school at one time.

Buckle up, it's going to be a long ride! Wait for the fund raisers! I hate fund raising. They trick the kids with these really COOL prizes.

And like Stimey, I've had three at the same school at one time. All wanting to do the same things, as well as different things.

Good luck.

I just added baseball and football practice and games to the mix. Mommy work is never done!
