Snow Day
We've gotten about 2-3 inches of snow - so it's a "Snow Day" for many of us in the northeast. Daughter's school is actually open today while many are closed but I've decided to keep her at home with me. WHY NOT???? It's cold and it's windy and the roads are a mess AND I'm home anyway so why force her. Of course, the only question is what the heck am I going to do with her today. We've just completed most of our activities over the weekend so I've got to figure out something to keep her interest for an entire day. I'll probably try to mimic her school schedule - so I'm off to put some puzzles together now!

You know what I recently discovered rocks on a snowy day? Roller skating! Great cheap way to burn off energy. I think I'll do a post about it myself!
We're all at home today, too with about 8 inches of snow on Long Island. We're still lounging around in our pajamas. It's 1:30--yeah, we're lazy like that. But we'll be heading out to tackle the cars and sidewalk shoveling in a bit, so technically we're just resting up for the hard work.
But don't forget to toss in some baking... a great snow day activity. Cookies...mmmm.
We had a snow day in Richmond yesterday too. But we had about 8 inches... more snow than my kids (5 yrs and 18 mo.) have ever seen. So we got bundled up, went out to build snow people, got cold, came in, had hot chocolate. Got bundled up again, went out, found a sledding hill. Did it all over again at least one more time! Great fun!
