- I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm beat! Not that the weekend will be spent lying around the house - it never is - but at least I won't have to go to work.
- Tonight I'm going to a DC Metro Moms Blog event sponsored by the Chevy Traverse -- I'm sooo excited. Should be a blast.
- Tomorrow, if it doesn't rain, we're taking the kids apple picking. I haven't been since I was a kid so I'm looking forward to it. Chatterbox has already decided that she wants to make an apple pie. I want to try my hand at apple crisp and apple fritters. Oh, and I can't forget caramel apples.
- The guy who hands out the morning paper at the Metro each day always gives me a chuckle. Everyday, without fail, he says: "You're looking gorgeous today, Miss!" I mentioned it to hubby who of course said "Yeah, but how many teeth does he have?" Well, if you must know, he has 4. But really, that is besides the point.
- Some fall/winter shopping is definitely in order. I desperately need new everything. Comfy winter boots, tall boots, a leather jacket, a winter coat, a tote bag for commuting, rainboots, shoes for work...I need it all.
- I need to come up with a fundraising idea for the girls' school. The goal of the Parents Committee is to build them a small playground in the spring. Any suggestions?
- I also need to decide whether I'm going to subject myself to taking the girls to Disney on Ice next month. Of course I haven't even mentioned it to them because if I did, I would never hear the end of it. I'm still on the fence.
What's on tap for your weekend?

Dude has FOUR teeth? LOL I am NOT mad at him for getting his holla on!
Your list sounds reasonable and you should take the girls to see Disney on Ice. We took DJ and I think we had MORE fun than he did. LOL
Sounds like a full weekend. What working mom would have it any other way? :)
Well, we went to a school party last night (I was glad I didn't volunteer b/c it was packed). This morning, I went to get my new license (cute pic), and we're about to head to another Halloween party. Tomorrow, prolly the pumpkin patch, grocery shopping, laundry...
Make a poster-sized picture of the future playground. Then have the printer cut it up into puzzle pieces. Each piece costs an amount (actual amount depends on the total cost of the project and about how many people who think we'll participate). Have it up at school. As people buy a puzzle piece, then they add it until the puzzle is complete. (start with edges and work your way to the middle; pieces are numbered for easy placement). Fun for kids and parents.
I was wondering why anyone would need rain boots and snow boots and work shoes, etc., etc, then I remembered how much walking takes place in DC. People here drive their cars to the mailbox, insane! I miss DC!! All cute shoes by the way, and free shipping at Nordstroms! WoW
It was great to finally meet you on Friday.
LOVED seeing you on Friday night!!!!!!!!!
You sound SUPER BUSY all the time yet you always have a smile on your face- you're my kinda gal :)
