A Different Kind of Fever...

Is it just me or are Saturdays positively EXHAUSTING!?

Remember the days when "the weekend" meant sleeping in late, breakfast in bed, enjoying a latte while checking out the latest selections at Borders, shopping for yourself at the mall and trying out the hot new tapas place with your hubby or your girlfriends for dinner? Seems like another planet, far, far away...

I can't even remember the last time I had tapas. Does an impressive variety of Goldfish and Curious George fruit snacks count?

Not goldfish and fruit snacks! Girlfriend, please enjoy some good food! Being a mama does not mean giving up everything that's good in life (like food). You know I hold good food as a top priority so this one hit close to home. :)

I hear you!! Now I positively DREAD the weekends. Chores, fighting, and both parents at home arguing over laundry.

Calgon (or Chardonnay) take me away!

I hear you Jones! I am exaggerating a tad but seriously - I love good food and I don't know when the last time I had a fabulous meal was. Maybe when we went to Oceanaire over the Christmas holidays? There's just no time and even less disposable cash :-) But I'm keeping hope alive!

I'm feeling all of your comments --I think I actually get more rest going to work during the week. As for a nice dinner out, yeah right!

Most definitely the weekends are super exhausting. I am more tired this Monday morning than I was on Friday after working all week. I got no rest...I was up at the same time and I felt as if I was rushing the entire time. Plus...DD was hanging on to my leg:)

Maybe I'm just opposite, but my weeks are where I work the hardest. On weekends, I don't cook (unless you all heating a hotdog or making a PB&J sandwhich cooking) and I don't clean. I may start a load of laundry and then fold it on Monday evening. My weekend starts on THursday evening and it's a smooth ride until MOnday morning, when I have to be up at 6:45 and go non-stop until 8:30. Plus I teach two classes on Mondays. Teaching is so physically exhausting!! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Seriously there is nothing different from saturdays than any other day of the week. Except I have to change more diapers.
